About me
Hi, I’m Victoria, I’m a Midwest photographer currently living in Wheaton, Illinois. I love traveling the world and capturing the beauty I find there. It’s my belief that there is beauty to be found wherever you look and point your camera, whether your state-side at your local dive-bar, or half way across the world viewing ancient vistas.

What You Do
I’ve been taking pictures for nearly 2 decades. I started with my cheap little digital camera in the early aughts as a pre-teen, discovering film in 2020, and now doing hybrid work, using both film and digital cameras. My bread and butter are the candid moments where no one‘s paying attention to the camera; But there’s something special about working with people and getting to capture their true personalities feelings and quirks in portraiture. I make sure to do a healthy mix of both in my life so I don’t miss out!
Whats better, film or digital?
If I have my choice, I’m shooting film. I love my Olympus mju for my easy travel captures, and my Canon AE-1 for my more composed shots. I love the simplicity and limitations of shooting with the film camera. I can’t take a million shots of the same thing with only a slightly different permutations. I’ve got one to two shots and so I have to make it worth it. Leaving the rest of my focus to enjoy whatever I’m observing, in the moment.
However, having my son has made me appreciate and value digital photography; giving me the space and time to capture the perfect photo with all of his squirmy little micro movements.
Ive settled into a hybrid of the two. Digital, when time is of the essence and lots of movement is involved. Film, when the beauty I’m attempting to capture is a bit more controlled, or the movement more consistent.
My style was developed using film, so my digital work reflects that. I love warm tones, fine grain, and a balanced saturation.
